Nowra City Church Service Essentials

Chat Room Café

The Chat Room Café has available a great variety of hot and cold food prepared fresh for each Sunday's lunch and dinner after the PM service. There is also a Coffee Lounge where latte’s are available amongst other delicacies. A self-serve tea and coffee area is also available in the Chat Room.

Communion

Communion is where a small piece of biscuit and some grape juice is distributed to the congregation in accordance with the teachings of Jesus, as a way to remember and honour his death on resurrection. Communion at NCC is held weekly in the 10am Service, and monthly at the 8:30am and 6:30pm service. Anyone who acknowledges that Jesus died and rose again is invited to participate in communion.

Children’s Programs

Nowra City Church runs a children's program for the entire 10am service and during the preaching at the 6:30pm service. For a full run down of the Children's Ministries click here.

Giving

Honouring Christ with our finance is part of the maturing of a person’s faith in God. There are opportunities to give at each of the services. Giving can be through credit or debit cards, cheques, cash or via net banking – see our giving information.

Communication Cards

Care and Communication Cards available from the Help Desk for you to be able to communicate to the pastoral team, prayer requests, praise points, change of contact details, point of celebration or anything else. Once a month, on the third Sunday, the cards are given out and filled out during the church service, giving everyone an opportunity to communicate to the pastoral team.

Life Boat Resources

Books, bibles, Cd’s and DVD’s are available for purchase through Life Boat Resources. The resource shop is open in the Church Lobby for 30 minutes after the 10am and 6:30pm.

Nowra City Church Service Creativity

Nowra City Church uses creativity in the Sunday Services. There are several reasons for this, one of them being that creativity and props engage the imagination and help reinforce the message of the preach.

Additionally, there is nothing in the bible that says church should be boring or that there can be no enjoyment as part of the a service.

What the bible does say – is that there are a number of objectives that God has set out in the word that he wants any church to achieve. How we achieve them, is not specified and so that leaves it up to the individual church as to how they achieve these objectives:

Objectives set out in the word of God

  1. Love the Lord with everything in you Luke 10:27
  2. The Father seeks worshippers Jn 4
  3. My house shall be called a house of prayer Luke 19:46
  4. Equip the saints using the manifestation of Ministry gifts Eph 4:11-12
  5. Fellowship. One another’s in the New Testament Jn 13:35-58
  6. Responsible stewardship Matt 25
    1. Time
    2. Talent
    3. Treasure
  7. Honour Christ through communion 1 Cor 11

  9. Stand against the devil Eph 6:10-15
